Job Purpose

  • Operations manager oversees the efficient operation of the company to ensure all operational functions are completely and properly performed by the staff while executing the various projects of the company. Responsible to monitor our organization’s functions and build processes that meet our business needs. Will ensure that all business functions are in line with our strategic goals. Will design and administers systems processes and procedures to ensure timely processing, training, and supervises the operations staff.

Key Accountabilities and Deliverables

  • Monitoring and improving daily functions
  • Build processes that meet our business objectives and ensure compliance
  • Measuring the efficiency of systems and procedures
  • Ensure all systems operate smoothly and align with our process
  • Maximize the efficiency of all business procedures
  • Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise
  • A constant eye on process performance metrics, failure rates, exception processing, deadlines and turnaround times, load balancing and automation to facilitate straight through processing.
  • Working with Business, Product, Underwriting, Engineering, Customer Service to build dashboards to manage, track, and report all KPIs related to loan operations

Educational Qualifications:

  • Any Bachelor’s degree
  • Any other relavent educational qualifications related to lending operations


  • 5+ years of experience in a hands-on role at a consumer lending company (with any product such as personal loans, credit cards or other forms of consumer lending).
  • Five to eight years of operations experience in the Banking or financial services industry

Knowledge/Skills required:

  • Willingness to work in startup environment.
  • Financial Understanding: Need to resolve loan issues as they arise meaning you need to have experience of loan financials, documentation and compliance. 
  • Process Management: Designed, refined and implemented loan administration policies from initial launch to scale. Create the process flow and ensure it is delivered in practice. 
  • Loan Application Processing: Worked with underwriters or loan officers and can develop and manage an underwriting process, based on risk policy defined by organization. 
  • Collections: Experience in collecting on delinquent loans and creating loan collections system that reduces bad debt and arrears. 
  • Organized: You are hyper organized and can manage multiple moving targets at the same time, while maintaining rigor and discipline on tests.
  • Strong PC and Microsoft Office Skills: Ability to use  Microsoft Office and Excel (or Google Doc and Sheet) and can process, analyze and manage loans using these tools 
  • Entrepreneurial skills in building a business, so courage and bold creative thinking is rewarded. 
  • Passion for FinTech: Defining and building new financial products and take pride in helping consumers get better value 
  • Good knowledge in operations management
  • Must be able to work closely with technology to automate processes 
  • Must have some experience dealing with internal/external auditors
